As part of our Blueprints series, we take a look at the evolution of one Ibiza's most iconic clubbing brands, We Love..., focusing on their classic artwork designs. To do this, we enlisted the help of Bruce Fisher, We Love's main designer since 2004 and member of the Tour Design company. He takes us through some of his work and inspirations that have helped shape the face of Ibizan clubbing.
This is my first visual experience of Illustrator David Tazzyman's talent. He has a truly unique style and the ability to capture a style and feeling like very few illustrators I have worked with. Check out the way he captures the feeling of Ibiza in this set, all be it 15 years ago.
This is my design outing for We Love Space. I was working on Homelands Festival in UK for the same team and our brief was 'cut and paste' - a mash up of previous years flyers and posters. A slight punky anarchy to the design mixed with the colourful spirit of a super club in Ibiza, great fun!
Not forgetting 2005 and 2006, this was the final in a series of Barbarella out of Space tour! The last 3 years were fun but time to move on and bring back the real spirit of Ibiza and the beautiful island…
Finally I get to work with David Tazzyman… And together we create a new 'cool-look' for We Love Space. Under guidance of course from the powers that be! The work continues and design develops and meanders until 2012.
2013: Time for a change… colourful, ultraviolet, punky, oldskool and in your face…. ENJOY!"
