Sydney’s favourite underground dance hub The Spice Cellar has just announced its April lineup. The team at Spice have booked an outstanding roster of DJs and producers, including Greg Pepperpot, Myles Mac and Gary Todd.
Greg Pepperpot has been a major player in the French scene since 1992. His CV reads like a what’s what of electronic music, with residencies at Rex Club, I-Boat and The Wood to name a few. With a rep to rival anyone, Pepperpot will bring some old-school credibility to The Spice Cellar stage.
Myles Mac has been at the forefront of Melbourne’s electronic resurgence ever since he co-founded The Melbourne Deepcast in 2009 with good mate Andy Hart. Mac’s sets at Revolver, and New Guernica cemented him as a stalwart of the Melbourne scene, and a pioneer of new disco. After a European tour alongside San Soda, Iron Curtis and Session Victim, the Victorian returns to his native land with some fresh new deep house and techno cuts.
Garry Todd is a man who needs no introduction. While this affable Northern chappy might look like a fish out of water, beneath that quirky exterior is a supremely talented musician and DJ. The UK veteran has built a reputation on original mixes and spellbinding sets, which feature everything from Run DMC to Ricardo Vilalobos. A character in front of, and behind the decks, don’t miss out on the one and only Garry Todd.
