
The 2014 winners of the International Dance Music Awards have been announced. Part of Annual Winter Music Conference, the IDMAs celebrated the biggest dance names and events of the past 12 months. Over 2 million votes were cast from fans in over 200 countries worldwide.
The 29th annual event posted few surprises. Best Commercial/Pop-Dance Track went to Daft Punk for ‘Get Lucky, Martin Garrix grabbed Best Break-Through Artist, while Ultra Music no-show Avicii won ‘Best EDM/Pop DJ. Other winners included Hardwell for Best Global DJ, Steve Aoki for Best North American DJ, with Tomorrowland ‘Boom’ in Belgium taking out Best Music Event.
Armin Van Buuren was the big winner on the night, taking out a total of eight awards. His swag included Best Solo Artist, Best Producer and Best Compilation for ‘A State of Trance 2013’.

Best Break-Through DJ - Martin Garrix
Best EDM/Pop DJ - Avicii
Best Trance DJ - Armin Van Buuren
Best House/Garage/Deep House DJ - Dennis Ferrer
