A couple of weeks back Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim shared his two cents on Sydney's new lockout laws, proclaiming young people should "stop whingeing" and "stand up for what they believe in." In a recent interview with the Australian Fincancial Review, Ibrahim has continued his slating of the current generation of kids, labeling Generation Y as "the shittiest we’ve ever had."

“They are so bad the government has had to back-hand them into going to sleep at 3am – and the rest of us alongside them," Ibrahim says.

"We need programs that force kids to think before they act – like the RTA ads that made hooning seem uncool. To encourage the more responsible youths to pull idiots into line. The class of 2010 onwards has been the shittiest ever. They’re just plastic gangsters. They drive around in their hotted up cars with gold chains and tattoos and then they go home and sleep at mum’s. They’re all wannabes. It’s disgusting – it’s all disorganised crime… It’s not organised crime you have to worry about, it’s disorganised crime – they’re the ding-a-lings.”

In the interview Ibrahim also found time to touch on the new laws, stating that it would be more effective to have 4am blanket lockouts across the CBD, as “it allows a gradual dispersal of people.”

The 1:30am lockout laws and 3am cessation of alcohol service commenced this morning.
