DJ and producer, Shlomi Aber, hails from Tel Aviv and has made a name for himself over the years as a major player in the techno scene. With more than fifteen years of production experience, he is influenced by genres like jazz, funk, minimal, acid and Detroit house. He has released on influential labels such as Cocoon, Desolat, Cadenza, Ovum and Renaissance and he launched his “Be As One” imprint in 2006. In 2008, he was awarded Beatport’s coveted “Artist of the Year” title. Catch him at Treehouse in Miami after his stint at Sankeys NYC.
Brouqade is the Berlin-based imprint that was launched in 2007 by Dana Ruh, Ann M Cazal and Anthea Marie to serve as a home for their creative expressions. Brouqade stands for “experimental music to dance to…the label follows no trend, no hype. With styles of music we are open-minded. The focus is on the music!”
Saturday features sounds by the legendary Cajmere (Green Velvet). Curtis Alan Jones studied engineering at the University of Illinois in the early 90s before leaving school in 1991 to return to Chicago to pursue his dream of producing house music. He shot to fame in the early 90s, becoming an international sensation with tracks like “Brighter Days.” Don’t miss Cajmere at Electric Daisy Carnival in Mexico, Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Coachella after his gig at Sankeys NYC.
