Columbia Records have confirmed that Daft Punk’s album Random Access Memories has been certified platinum. This means that the duo is celebrating their most successful album to date. With the hype over the first half of 2013, and the steam behind Get Lucky it all kind of makes sense that Random Access Memories has reached platinum certification, outdoing previous works Discovery (which is hovering the 800 000 sales mark at the moment) and Homework which both reached gold status. Watch the Youtube clip of Daft Punk scooping Album of the Year 2013 at The Grammy’s recently, just one of the many awards they received on the night.
