
According to new figures put forth by Nielsen Soundscan and posted on Digital Music News, vinyl has once again shut down it's detractors and reached another modern-era record in 2012 by shifting 4.6 million units in the USA. Check out the graph below.
Granted the sales are more heavily in the rock field, but still, these new figures surely give weight to the argument that the format is far from dead. Perhaps in the electronic music world it's time is nigh, though? What are your thoughts?
