Brian, tell us about your times playing at mysteryland festival... What keeps the event special? I played once in 2007 with my band MOTOR. i recall being overwhelmed by sunlight, colors and smiling faces. its a stark contrast to the usual club experience. Mysteryland is always the most anticipated outdoor festival in holland- and this will be my first time as Black Asteroid.

You've made a special mix containing 22 tracks from the Electric Deluxe camp - is this selection very dance floor focused in nature? When visiting the EDLX catalog, i realized how the label's sound is not focused purely on the dance floor. EDLX allow artists to experience with sounds and textures that you don't hear as much at other techno imprints. so with this mix, you have the option to dance or geek out on headphones.

What's been your best - and worst - festival experience? The most memorable experience was last year's Amsterdam Dance Event.  I remember waking up at 8 am, getting a coffee and going to a sweaty after-hours rave at Melkweg to debut my new DJ set between Len Faki and Speedy J. it was the most intimidating and rewarding experience so far.

What have you got coming up release wise in the coming months? I will have 2 new EP's coming out on Electric Deluxe and CLR. also a slew of remixes for artists such as Depeche Mode, Huoratron, Bloody Beetroots, Brian Burger, Erphun, Bunker 44& Jeaven, Go Fight, and Martyn Ware's B.E.F. project
