
The names keep on coming as Croatia's exciting new event Unknown unveils its next list of 'performers' for their debut year, running between Tuesday 10th - Saturday 14th September at Rovinj Croatia.
Tipped to combine electronic music and bands, up for it party goeers and mature, culturally minded revelers, Unknown has been tipped to be a festuival with a difference, based in a relatively unspoilt (or over used) area of the country's stunning coastline. placing an emphasis on settings, mise-en-scene and art as well as music. The actual list of fare on offer is ridiculous though, inlcuding Jamie xx, Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, Cyril Hahn, George Fitzgerald, Jackmaster, Maceo Plex, SBTRKT and live perfromances from the likes of Moderat, Disclosure, The Horrors, Jessie Ware, Jagwar Ma, Henrik Schwarz and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. More names have today been announced including man of the moment Jon Hopkins and UK techno creator Paul Woolford, besides Ostgut Ton's Ryan Elliot, Birmingham disco appreciator Mark E, Death on The Balcony, Last Magpie and The Sonic Emporium.
Tom Baker of Field Day says of the festival: “I’m really thrilled to be working with Hideout and The Warehouse Project on a brand new event that combines brilliant live bands alongside some of the best and cutting edge DJs in the world, in a setting of glorious sunshine, clear blue skies and wonderful beaches! What could be better!" Unknown recently unveiled their location and setting, of which you can view in the teaser video above.
