Sydney’s favourite boat party Agwa Yacht Club makes its return for the 2013/14 summer season with two of the hottest names in house music both making their Australian debuts. Montreal via London duo BLOND:ISH and breakthrough act Hunter/Game will headline Agwa Yacht Club 17 upon The Starship on Saturday October 5th, welcoming the party back with a bang.
Since bursting onto the scene in 2008, BLOND:ISH – known separately as DJs Anstascia and Vivie-Ann – have carved out a unique production and DJ recipe, that of provocative basslines combined with smooth textures and sticky vocals which has earned them a burgeoning reputation as fun-loving, infectious party-starters by crowds the world over. For a snapshot of their sound, see the 2012 ‘Lovers In Limbo EP' on Germany’s most respected label, Kompakt. BLOND:ISH are prepped and ready to tear The Starship’s lower deck a proverbial new one.
On the upper deck, Hunter/Game, who will be in fine form - fresh from their residency at Sasha’s Never Say Never party in Ibiza - will get limbs moving with their moody, groovy and infectious deep house sound as found on their releases for Get Physical, Hot Creations and of course Last Night On Earth.
For one party only, Agwa Yacht Club 17 will be taking place later in the afternoon, with The Starship boarding at King Street Wharf at 5:00pm. It will return to Pyrmont Bay at 11pm. First release tickets go on sale for $60+BF on Tuesday August 8th at pulseradio.net/events. For more information head to the facebook page.
