London's infamous Lovebox Festival was abound with rumours this weekend, notably about the reasons behind Lil' Kim's failure to play yesterday afternoon.
The ex Junior M.A.F.I.A rapper had been scheduled to play the main stage at 6.10pm but at around 6.40 she had still not appeared. Shortly after this it had been decided by organisers to pull her set from the schedule. Organisers have issued a statement reading:
"Lil’ Kim did not turn up to her set on time. The festival had no other option but to maintain the scheduled running order to ensure the other main stage acts were not disrupted".
The star - due to make a comeback on single 'Looks Like Money' this month - later tweeted that her absence was a result of “circumstances out of her control”. Other acts that played included D’Angelo, DJ Harvey, Bicep, Paul Kalkbrenner, Azealia Banks and SBTRKT.
