Wondering how you're getting to Burning Man this year? Burning Man takes care of its fellow Burners with the "Burner Express," a bus service that can transport you to Black Rock City, Nevada from the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco or the Reno-Tahoe International Airport in Reno, Nevada. Tickets start at $60 one way from Reno, $95 from San Francisco, with a small number of walkup tickets available at each location. The buses will be running back and forth, with departure trips starting on Saturday, August 24th and return trips on Friday, August 30.
The bus, organized to ensure that Burning Man has a smaller impact on the environment and to create less traffic, ensures Burners speedier travels to and fro, as well as an accelerated entrance and ticket pick up process. Worried about your gear? Each bus will have a separate bus for equipment and supplies following it. Those with assigned camps can take the shuttle once inside to 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock along G street. If you don't have a camp, bus riders are given to the option to camp in a special reserved section.
