It’s that time of the week again, you can feel it, it’s Friday and here at Pulse we bring you a Veteran of the scene - this week we bring a mix from Joint Nation Records’ - Rob Sloan. I thoroughly enjoy the Veteran Friday pieces as I have to delve quite deep in researching the artist we showcase with their mixtape that they do for us exclusively for Pulse.
I say this in-part because you read every bio, listen to as much as you possibly can from the artist and time/region permitting, hopefully one can get a chance to sit down and have a one on one with the artist. Rob Sloan’s bio was an interesting read, but coupled with the mixtape that he had done for us, this was just perfect – “This was my preferred delivery method of describing what it is I do to recreate the sculpture of sound vibrations that my vocal passage can’t reproduce…. “.
Let the mixtape from Rob Sloan do the talking today, as they say, the proof is in the pudding, so skip the starters, skip the mains down your drink and dive straight into this treat we have for you from Rob, it certainly proves a pudding! Lovely work Rob Sloan.
If you’re in Jozi town tonight, Rob Sloan will be playing the TOYTOY party along with Bruno Morphet, Grant van Rensburg and Fabio – if it’s a good grooving boogie you’re looking for, this is it. See our ‘What’s Happening’ article released later today for further details. For now, Rob Sloans Pulse mix:
