As we reported a few weeks ago, DJ Shadow is the latest in a list of revered jocks being kicked off the decks at commercial nightclubs. Mark Farina and Dennis Ferrer suffered similar fates not long ago, with Shadow's ousting at Mansion nightclub in Miami adding fuel to the fire. Shadow has kindly posted the set that got him kicked off the decks, so if you want to know what NOT to play at Mansion on a weekend, give it a listen. Covering some fairly broad sonic ground, the heavily hip-hop influenced mix contains a lot of bass and apparently more melody than Mansion could handle. It begins with an ominous vocal stating what we presume are Shadow's thoughts on the matter. Have a listen yourself and give us your opinion.
