For those techno heads that love things on the harder, faster side, Hyte Festival brings us quite the treat on next Sunday, July 21st on Governors Island. It's a feast of fast tempos and low basslines that will be catered to us by CLR boss Chris Liebing, with the New York skyline serving as the backdrop. Joining him on stage will be Monoloc, Guti, Hector, Robert Dietz, Tommy Four Seven, DVS1, and Boris in the spectacular array of talent.
The festival provides us with a wide spectrum of the sounds of techno as each artist brings with him a special forte. Chris Liebing brings to his loyal following the driving, if not almost pummeling sound of heavy basslines, subs, and high BPMs. It's not for the faint of heart, a music with intensity and vigor interned rather for those who just wish to let loose and dance like never before. Off of his CLR label comes Tommy Four Seven and Monoloc, both of whom take elements of Liebing's style and wind it into their own direction. Guti, one of Desolat's stars introduces melody and harmony to the world of techno, applying his vast musical skills that were acquired while being a rock star and jazz musician to the nuances of electronic music. Labelmate Hector who released his 1trax 4 compilation and Robert Dietz join him, adding a flare of tech house to the techno line up. US heroes DVS1 and Boris, join the ranks, showing us that Europeans aren't the only ones who have a handle on heavy beats.
The event begins at 4pm and continues until midnight. The age is 18 to enter, 21 to drink. Be sure to stay tuned to Pulse Radio for our Chris Liebing interview. The trailer below gets us excited for those tremulous basslines, that move us to the core.
