It’s been quite some time since DJ & Producer Floyd Lavine has dropped us something that’s best described as ‘a Nubian dreamweaver traveling on a forgotten trail’. Siberian Dust’ from Floyd, is give or take a 55 minute podcast of class put together and held out on offer for us to digest and remember why he is as good as he is.
Airy Sound-scapes and intricate nuances with driving basslines that at times are so underlying you forget they’re there only to be subtly reminded with movements in the beats that that’s what you’re grooving to. Cheeky vocals from time to time gives the mix a great dynamic with which Floyd takes you on a journey, un-forced and natural, everything in here lends itself the right way. Nice work Floyd.
