In further proof of just how popular Skrillex is, the brostepper's June Essential Mix (his second for the esteemed radio show) has broken BBC Radio 1 records and become not only the most played Essential Mix, but their most popular piece of content ever.
Skrillex's Owsla label tweeted the news yesterday: "Got word over the weekend that @Skrillex @EssentialMix was the single most played piece of content in @BBC_Radio_1 history across all media."
The typically high-octane mix included new music from Knife Party, Blawan, Dog Blood (his collab with Boys Noize), Skrillex himself, and even Disclosure's 'When A Fire Starts To Burn'. In case you missed it, you can listen to the mix below.
