Dear took to Facebook to say “I have been working in the studio since January of this year. Loops, tracks, songs and sounds have been amassing themselves onto my hard-disks and slowly taking shape into what will be the next Audion album. In May of this year I performed live as Audion at Detroit's Movement Festival. It was the first time I'd played as Audion in about three years. It was a great opportunity to test drive the new material, and play a couple of tried and true numbers.”
Dear released prolifically as Audion (which showcasing the harder edge of his productions) from 2004 – 2010, when he stopped making tracks and performing under the alias, until the recent performance at Movement festival earlier this year, where he played under the moniker. Undoubtedly, the possibility of new Audion material will have many fans overcome with excitement, as are we. Until more information comes out, we'll be digging out all our old Audion cuts in preparation.
