If you're a vinyl junkie and happen to have a spare $10k lying around (is that an oxymoron?), perhaps you should consider purchasing DanceRecords.com's inventory - currently up for sale on ebay with a starting bid of, you guessed it, $10,000.
DanceRecords.com was the major retailer for vinyl in the USA, winning the award for best retailer at Winter Music Conference in 2005. The ebay advert claims all the records are new, not used, and the collection ranges through all genres of dance music, from house to disco to techno. It's a serious haul for one lucky buyer, that's for certain.
As the website puts it: "Many sellers say they have a rare collections, but this truly is a rare collection. There are probably only 2 or 3 other collections like this in the world, and they are at active record stores in Europe."
There is a sample of 1,000 titles from the catalogue over at the ebay ad, with the entire stock list available for download.
