Due to severe weather, organizers decided to cancel the third day of The Hudson Project this weekend. Guests were originally told to return to their cars for a delay in the day’s schedule until the majority of the day was eventually cancelled. Artists Bassnectar, Tipper, Oliver, Kygo, Paper Diamon, and more were unable to perform their sets.
Reports on social media indicate that conditions at the festival were far from ideal with invasive security and lots of mud everywhere. The situation apparently got much worse once the storms started and vendors shut down, cars were stuck trying to leave, and people were allegedly forced to leave the venue while intoxicated (contrary to what the festival posted on its Facebook page) leading to a spike in arrests.
The Hudson Project ran this weekend from July 11th to July 13th for the first time ever. The festival has not yet announced any plans for refunds based on the cancellation, but has promised more information for attendees in the coming week. We're hoping that everyone gets out safely!
