Yuli Fershtat, Israeli based electronic musician known as ‘Perfect Stranger’ from Iboga Records has once before waved the proverbial wand on South African shores in 2011 at the inaugural Love & Light party at the Nekkies Camping Resort just outside of Cape Town. Not too sure why it has taken him so long to come back and entertain? – Nonetheless, he is on the way again at the end of June to perform in both JHB at the Teknotribe event and Cape Town at Trinity.
In his creations it’s adequately described as sounds inspired by the bliss of sunbeams with an ironic yet candid take on the simple pleasures of life, or depending on the day – the darker side of the self. Perfect Stranger moves Progressive Trance and embeds it into dirty Techno grooves and breakdowns so to speak which enables him to maintain that very old school spirit that is spoken to be missed so much these days.
The event in Johannesburg is Teknotribe’s 10th birthday with tickets available at webtickets, Perfect Stranger will be performing on the Techno stage with Nick Grater, Sebotage, Senjo, Sound Sensible and Doctor Stone with the Psytrance floor hosting names like Stereotype, Dre’ama,Bionic, Digital Dream, Killer B and Manifesto vs Thalia.
