Michael Brun has announced the launch of his very own record label, Kid Coconut. The label will be the new home for all the styles and sounds that influence the Haitian-born DJ/producer as he progresses in his career. At only 21 years old, Brun has already played at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals including Ultra, Coachella, LIC, Pacha, and Marquee New York.
He shared his excitement for his new endeavor. “Kid Coconut will let people hear the unfettered spectrum of my music from the progressive melodic big-room sound, to my deeper club-oriented music, and a host of Haitian and Caribbean influenced cuts that I’m so excited to share.”
“It’s all embodied in the name. Kid Coconut is about fun, dancing, good times with friends, and sharing the richness of my musical heritage. I also know first-hand how important label mentors can be, and providing a platform for my peers to express themselves and grow will be a key focus of Kid Coconut.”
The label’s first release will be Brun’s own “Zenith,” a track that has gotten great reception at the festivals he’s played this year and has received the support of EDM heavyweights Tiesto and Steve Angello.
