Global Citizen Festival is returning to New York City this fall with an impressive lineup spanning several different musical genres. On September 27th, Tiesto and Jay Z will headline the festival, which takes place each year on the Great Lawn in Central Park organized by the Global Poverty Project. Other artists who will play this year include No Doubt, Carrie Underwood, FUN., and The Roots.
The festival is timed to coincide with the United Nations General Assembly meeting. Global Poverty Project co-founder Hugh Evans shared his excitement for the diverse lineup this year. “I love how this year’s lineup brings together the king of hip-hop and the king of EDM.”
It’s free to attend Global Citizen Festival, but only 48,000 tickets will be available this year. You’ll have to earn your on the festival’s website to be considered in the running. A limited number of VIP tickets will also be available for purchase.
