It's the competition that everyone loves to hate...The DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll. Each year the poll courts some form of controversy, be it through its list of overtly commercial-leaning DJs or via other contentious aspects, like when it was accused of bribery (of which the magazine vehemently denied).
The ballot for this year's poll has been announced as officially open on July 12th and runs through to September 15th. The magazine has promised a new voting system for 2014, perhaps in a effort to appear more credible to its detractors. There's no information as yet as to how exactly the new system will be implemented, though details are to be released soon.
The official list of 100 DJs and the #1 winner will be crowned during the Top 100 DJs Awards at ADE’s Amsterdam Music Festival in the Amsterdam ArenA on October 18th.
