Die Antwoord song “Enter The Ninja” has made it’s way into the world of high fashion and beauty as the soundtrack for the new Dior Addict ad.
The just released commercial for the luxury brand’s signature fragrance sees Russian model Sasha Luss whirl and twirl her way from one room to the next in a setting that we could only accurately describe as a mash up of an exotic floral fantasy with Alice in Wonderland on LSD.
Most surprising though is the realization that the soundtrack is a remixed version of “Enter The Ninja” by South African twosome Die Antwoord when you hear Yolandi Visser’s voice singing, “I am your butterfly.. I need your protection.. Need your protection..” in the background.
The 90 second commercial was masterminded by American director Harmony Korine who is best known for the film Spring Breakers. The South African duo formerly teamed up with Korine for the short "Umshini Wam" a couple of years ago which explains this seemingly unlikely coupling of their music with the Dior fashion, fragrance and cosmetic house.
