Despite rumors that the show would not go on this year, it appears that Electric Zoo will in fact return in 2014! New York’s premier electronic music festival is set to run this Labor Day Weekend from Friday, August 29th to Sunday, Sugust 31st at its home on Randall’s Island. Relive the magic from last year's edition with our festival review!
Made Event Co-CEO’s Mike Bindra and Laura De Palma shared their excitement about the festival’s return. “We are incredibly excited to bring Electric Zoo back to New York. Over the past five years, Electric Zoo has grown tremendously, becoming a critically acclaimed, internationally recognized music festival. The opportunity to again host Electric Zoo on Randall’s Island is a responsibility we take seriously, and we look forward to expanding our safety and security measures in order to further improve the concert experience for our fans.”
This year, Electric Zoo has added even more security measures to ensure fans a safe and fun experience, including more undercover officers, clearer messaging on site and ahead of the event about prohibited conduct, security surveys sent to each ticket holder, and increased use of social media related to event security.
The festival will also provide electrolytes at little or no cost, shorten the length of each day, and continue to provide free water. A new media campaign featuring leading artists will be developed along with a PSA that people will be required to watch before they can validate their tickets.
Tickets for the sixth annual Electric Zoo will go on sale next Tuesday, April 29th!
