Future Gods recently brought Siberian DJ Nina Kraviz out to South Africa to headline an event series on 4th and 5th April in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively. The local support in both regions, in order of appearance, were Durban based DJ Coco Loco to be followed by Cape Town’s Bruno Morphet and Ivan turanjanin collectively known as Killer Robot to set the floor off in good stead before the Siberian beauty Nina, would take to the hardware.
I did the Cape Town leg of the tour which was held at the Cape Town City Hall. It was a majestic, apt setting for some of the finest techno that South Africa had witnessed to date. In terms of music, this was an incredibly memorable and educational night, also confirming the fact that we here in SA do indeed have what it takes.
