Just days before Miami commissioners are set to discuss Ultra Music Festival’s return to its downtown location, the opposition has released a video montage of some of Ultra’s worst behaved attendees in order to garner support for their cause. The video with scenes from the last few years of the festival shows gatecrashing, fights, and police struggles, and was put together following the incident this year when a security guard was nearly trampled to death.
Along with death and arrest reports and letters from the Department of Justice and the president of the University of Miami, Miami commissioners are hoping to stop Ultra from reoccurring in the same urban location next year. Ultra is fighting back saying that the city should take some responsibility as well as they have always provided the amount of security that was required by the city.
According to the agreement between the festival and Bayfront Park, Ultra has the right to stage its festival until March of 2018 with the approval and consent of the Miami City Commission. Check out the video below or click here.
