Black Coffee plays Cape Town Jazz Festival

Accomplished record Producer, DJ, style icon and Businessman Nkosinathi Maphumulo famously known as Black Coffee is one of the headline acts at this year’s Cape Town International Jazz Festival taking place this weekend. This is one of the most successful events in the music calendar, which has seen the likes of Lauryn Hill, Kirk Whallum, Jill Scott and this year American superstars Erykah Badu and Anne Hathaway and the great South African Jazz pioneer Abdulla Ibrahim to make magic.

Black Coffee joins this list of seasoned entertainers, with two shows in his name. Performing first on the 28th March 2014 - Friday at the Bassline stage at 00:15 with friends Toshi Tikolo of Buya fame, Tumelo, Zano, Soulstar, Culoe De Song, Pansula and Ribatone. This show is titled Black Coffee & Friends, if you have watched his outstanding DVD offering Africa Rising or been to one of his stage productions you will certainly have an idea of how incredulously perfect they are together.

The second show is happening on the 29th March 2014 at the Basil “Manenburg” Coetzee stage at 22:45. Prior to all these shows he is doing a lecture on “Growing In The Industry” with Soulistic Music General Manager Amaru da Costa, International Copyright Specialist Graeme Gilfillan and award winning Singer and Actress Bianca Le Grange. The lecture is open to the public and is from 11:00. See you there!
