It's no secret that vinyl has been coming back with a vengeance. Hipsters love it, DJs are rediscovering it, and by and large, vinyl seems to be killing CD sales in the consumer sector (with some big help of the digital market, of course). So it shouldn't be that surprising that a major DJ technology company like Pioneer, who have for years held the industry standard for CDJs, would decide to launch a new DJ turntable.
