Todd Terje's 'Inspector Norse' was undoubtedly one of the most celebrated tracks of last year - every time it came on it provoked a smile from everyone in the crowd. The soaring melodies, flouncing beat and pure unadulterated flow brought a lot of joy to the world. But where did the inspiration for this incredible track come from?
<br>
It turns out Terje got his inspiration from this absolutely fantastic Youtube sensation on the web - Inspector Norse. He's made hundreds of dance videos and one of them was also a particularly interesting video for a recipe for something described as a 'Inspector Norse Special' involving freezing some easily available chemicals... Terje found Inspector Norse so fascinating he had to dedicate his next song to him. In the above documentary called 'Whateverest' Terje let's us in on his muse - Inspector Norse aka Marius Solem Johansen - a failed musician who spends alot of time dancing and creating drug recipes on the internet. It's a really fantastic video.
There are already plans underway here at Pulse HQ to do something as incredible on youtube and inspire Todd Terje to dedicate a track to us.
