Former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy’s signature coffee blend, labeled House of Good, is now available for purchase online! Made in collaboration with coffee company Blue Bottle, the unique blend is described as “syrupy, well-balanced and thoroughly accessible. It’s flavor profile – dried cherry, cocoa, meyer lemon – is a harmony between the voluptuous and the austere: It’s akin to the second movement of Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 3 – or, perhaps, to that buzzing, syncopated synth line from ‘Dance Yrself Clean.’ Depends on which James you ask.”
James announced that he was working on creating the perfect blend of coffee a few months ago. The House of Good name is based on a café that he has been hoping ot open in Brooklyn. The coffee is currently selling at Blue Bottle’s recently opened store in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn or on its website for $26 per pound.
