A time to wind down, enjoy the sunshine, hang out with friends, and jam not only with the tasty jelly JamJars in your hand, but to the deep beats that smack at you from a sun shining day past the beautiful Jozi sunset…Dayze‘Just for fun’ is located at the Renegade Junxion in Kya Sands. No shoes are required with the beach sand sweeping under your feet and a pool to chill-out at with friends over a drink, or jump right in!
Dayze was founded by Cameron McLean, James Hosking, and Bianca Scola with resident Dj’s: Cam with a K, Hurtmurphy, Cameron Clarke, and Unheard of. These guys had a dream of starting something fresh for a bunch of music lovers and enthusiasts that really enjoy a good time. As Cam with a K says – ‘Pure coincidence and good timing was how the whole thing came about’. Sundays are for meant for jolling! What began as a small get together with like-minded friends has evolved into a diverse crowd of newcomers with good intentions and open minds which sets the tone for all the more people to come with their positive vibes.
Chilled vibes hit off from 10 a.m. with deep house melodies to soothe into the day, progressing into minimal and Tech house beats taking you into the night. Cut-out’s of cardboard men attached by their hands represent a community of like-minded people to decorate this event, as well as disco balls, flowers and fairy lights hanging above your head. Sticky notes with marker pens allow for partygoers to write down positive words and place them wherever they feel. You can even pick out a fun ‘hat to hire’ for the day to add to the festivities!

When you get that many good people together, no matter how diverse, it sets a tone for all those to come, to be happy, respectful and positive. This event kicks off every 2nd Sunday with many guest Dj’s adding to an incredible on-the-beat line-up, including the likes of EmmaX; Hugo Gravito; Dubboy; and Prince just to name a few.
