Max Vangeli is a force to be reckoned with from his extensive tours hitting some of the worl'd biggest festivals and arenas to his output of popular House anthems and well-received remixes of Ellie Goulding, Pendulum, and more.  Described by MTV as "one of the most promising artists for 2011" he has undoubtedly proven his talents and abilites in the realm of DJing and production.  We had a chance to catch up with Max just after the release of his latest track "Grim" along with Danny Ray to discuss the collaboration, making music and touring with his good friend AN21, how he got started in the electronic music scene, and what else he has planned for 2014.

You used to play rock music in college. What initially sparked your interest in DJing and producing and how did you get started? I always came back to Moldova during summers to visit my relatives, and dance music was always big there and I slowly started clubbing and realized how much I actually loved it!

How did you get into progressive house? Do you have any interest in exploring other genres of electronic music when it comes to production? I was always sort of a melody guy because I like to feel that emotional vibe in the club, but yeah, I'm always interested in trying new things as long as there is still a little bit of melody involved.

You and Danny Ray teamed up to produce your new single "Grim" - how did this come about? Have you two worked together in the past? I've known Danny for many years - all the way back to the Laidback Luke forum. We have been friends for a long time and always planned to do something, and it sort of finally came about. Danny is a very talented producer and I was happy to be working with him.

You've been working with your best friend AN21 for years now – what have been some of your highlights DJing/producing as a team? I would say traveling together because we had so many fun moments and memories. It's crazy how many shows we actually did side by side. I feel like we know everything about each other now.

What would be your dream collaboration? I would love to collaborate with The Prodigy for sure! I have always loved them so much!

If you had to choose one, what would you say has been the most gratifying moment of your career so far? Doing a a full length album on SIZE this early in my career. I sort of got that out of the way!
