It’s always a busy time of year here in SA with CTEMF, all the award ceremonies and the vast and diverse array of international acts exploring this side of the world and all the extraordinary talent we have in it. In February the Design Indaba together with leading sneaker brand Converse presents the 2014 Design Indaba Music Circuit.
The City of Cape Town will be transformed, transformed in to what is probably best described as a playground where music lovers will find themselves exploring the city whilst discovering and rediscovering acts spread over 2 days. The Design Indaba will boast 37 acts, in 10 venues, over 2 days. Celebrating a variety of music genres, including such diverse sounds as Afrotronic, Cosmic Jazz, and hip-hop, the ten venues across the Mother City will be the host to a very fruitful, musical weekend.
It’s about experiences, collaborations, having fun, and giving fresh talent a platform on which to showcase their talents. We’re starting to see more and more of this lately, where organisations, promoters etc are looking into developing the existing networks of genres and sub-genres within. One can only support these initiatives in full as it’s something we all need, and want at this stage of the game, to be honest. So, join them and us for two nights of audio adventures and pumping performances on 26 and 27 February 2014.
