Your track “Rebel” with Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman was played during your brother Steve Angello’s BBC Radio 1 residency debut and is set to release on January 20th on SIZE Records. What is it like working so closely with family? Do you always get along? It is absolutely incredible - everyday I hangout with my best friends. Size stuff is always on my mind and I can’t picture a different life than that. Me and Steve always get along. We grew up being really close to each other and even when we disagree we do it in a nice way so to say.
Having toured around the world so much, what are some of your favorite cities to play? It's just too hard to name a city... each city has its moments! What else do you have planned for the New Year? I'm going to be focusing on a lot of solo projects which is a lot of fun since I haven’t really done that in the past.
On the other hand, what are some of the cities, festivals, and events that you haven’t been to yet that are high on your bucket list? I'd love to do Coachella!
How have the US and global electronic music scenes evolved in the last few years from your own experiences? It has become a lot more mainstream, which attracts new fans that don’t necessarily understand it. But it's our job to educate!
You have a huge following on your social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. What is the key to interacting with all your fans and keeping them engaged online? To be honest, I think I'm terrible on socials, but I just try to be myself.
Who are some emerging producers who have been inspiring you lately? Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman are absolutely incredible. Other than that, we have a duo coming up on Size called ‘Still Young’. But I can’t say more than that! Big mystery.
