This February two UK electronic DJ and producers will be hitting Melbourne and Sydney, one old guard and the other a realtive newcomer who's stormed the scene. The former is none other than Ali B, once known primarily as one of the leading lights in the breakbeat scene, whose sound has evolved to take in everything from blues, funk and hip hop to rock, soul, dub, disco and beyond. The latter is West London-based producer DJ, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Son Of Kick, who emerged in 2008 with his widely praised remixes of Justin Timberlake’s ‘Like I Love You’ and Jay Z’s ‘Ignorant Shit’.
The pair will be playing alongside each other at the Sound Lounge party for Melbourne's very first White Night Festival on Saturday 23rd February. Prior to that, Son Of Kick will hit Sydney's World Bar on Wednesday 20th Feb.
