Las Vegas megaclub Hakkasan went all in this year with the announcement of its 2014 residents, featuring a list of big artists such as Afrojack, Above & Beyond, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and W&W, who will join the already impressive roster of Hakkasan residents. Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Hardwell, Dada Life, Danny Avila, Bingo Players, and Steve Aoki will return as residents this year along with other Hakkasan talent R3hab, NERVO, Michael Woods, Eva Shaw, Fergie, and Mark Eteson.
Several of the new residents are shifting from other clubs in the city, highlighting the increasingly competitive nature between top clubs to attract the best talent. Afrojack comes to Hakkasan from XS. He explains his motivation for the move. “I’ve been home for four years at XS where I had a great time, but Hakkasan provided me with the option to try something new in a new venue, so I’m looking forward to trying a new kind of party there.”
Before signing on with Hakkasan, Above & Beyond had a short stint at the Wynn after being one of the original residents at Marquee Las Vegas. Both Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and W&W ended residencies at Marquee to join Hakkasan.
Hakkasan CEO Neil Moffitt is confident in the club’s vision. “We are pleased to welcome back world-renowned artists from last year as well as introduce new exciting DJs to ensure all of our guests have an extraordinary experience they will not forget.” The club also plans to have one-off nights with other artists.
