No Cameras! Keep it behind closed Doors

Like the legendary club in Berlin you know as Berghain, nightclubs in the Big Apple are banning the snaps partygoers take on their nights out in the clubs.

If you take partying seriously, this is probably good news. Remember the time when you went out on the weekend, had the time of your life, came back only to realise your antics, whatever they may be, have been posted all over the net!? Not the best. You should be allowed to go and let your hair-down within the four walls of your favourite club, you should be able to cut-loose without worrying about some dipsh*t trying to earn some credibility from being at said club by taking photos of whatever he/she deems “cool” worthy.

I’m not saying there is anything to hide; actually, I might be saying exactly that. It’s just the nature of the beast of the party, but also, maybe partygoers should focus on the music. Good news is, Le Baron, Chelsea’s No. 8 and Sankeys are now disallowing punters to take photographs or videos of anything that goes down behind their doors.

According to New York Times contributor Michael Musto with The Business Insider adding “The purported rationale behind the no-photo policy is that without smartphones constantly in-hand, A-list clientele will feel more comfortable, people will be more willing to let their guard down, and the party will feel more exclusive.”

Still to be confirmed, is whether the said clubs will have their own photographer on-site to capture events, which is interesting if you think about it having learnt about the new policy, that I’m sure will start rippling out to more and more clubs as the parties go on. Surely some strict guidelines to follow if that’s the case. In a nutshell, I for one am totally for it. More dancefloor, period.
