Last month came the sad news that one of Sydney's favourite nightspots, The Abercrombie Hotel, is closing its doors for good. In the short space of two and a half years the hotel has earned a solid reputation as one of the city's go-to venues for promoters, playing host to famed parties like Strange Fruit, Bad Apple, Purple Sneakers and S.A.S.H. So it's only fitting that the venue should go out with a bang, and go out with a bang it shall with DJ Koze locked in to headline the last night ever on Thursday January 9.
Following NYD sets at Lost Disco in Sydney and the Let Them Eat Cake festival in Melbourne, The Abercrombie's closing party will be the German jock's final show on his Australian tour.
