A new Mixmag mini-doc, Daft Punk: Behind The Helmets, gives viewers a special behind the scenes look at Daft Punk’s signature helmets and robot suits. The video, sponsored by Olmeca Tequila, features stage FX designer Tony Gardner, who takes us through the evolution of their famous costumes. Merely starting as humans, the duo made up of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo transformed into high tech robots, keeping up with the latest in technology. The documentary features several early prototypes of the iconic duo’s helmets, gloves, and body armor, and discusses the designers' inspirations for the look.
