ReSolute and family celebrated its six year anniversary of underground parties and music in a two-part, 24-hour marathon featuring an array of talented artists and special guests who hailed from all over the globe. On this anniversary, ReSolute took the opportunity to give back to those in need, both here in NYC and on a global scale. In addition to the great music and stellar party vibes, ReSolute donated a portion of the night's proceeds to victims of the Philippines typhoon. ReSolute also accepted donations for the New York Cares coat drive, helping New Yorkers in need keep warm. Coats were delivered to New York Cares immediately after the party.

The night debuted at a Manhattan venue near Chelsea featuring two floors of acts to ring in the evening such as resident DJs Elon and Connie, with her live act, Jaded Lover with Mikey Dubs. Others who graced the decks were San Marco, Don Ramon from Zurich, Carlos Chiesa, and Cylo. As the night progressed the main floor overflowed into the rhythms of Madrid-based Damian Schwartz, a ReSolute favorite, teasing the senses of a crowd ready for lift off. The room marinated in Damian’s live artistry behind the decks fused with mind-expanding visuals provided by Elena Pito, creating an auditory and visual immersive experience.
Following Schwartz, the spotlight at center stage pointed to none other than the veritable Kiki (BPitch) who eloquently guided the crowd to the evening’s pinnacle, delivering nothing short of prolific as his soundscape created the perfect haiku for such a special occasion. The audience ensued into a frenzy in usual ReSolute style.
Round two of the celebration was held at a secret location in Brooklyn and carried on until midnight of Sunday morning taking all who participated on a visceral journey of sound and visuals by Illuminoti. New York-based DJs, Stefny and Carlos Alkalina, served us the breakfast portion of this epic after party that was wall-to-wall bodies. Stefny is known for her live acts but this night played a hybrid set (live and DJ). Then as the 10am alarm rang, we were blessed with the surprise appearance of the indelible, Francis Harris, whose 3-hour set took you to what felt like the earth’s core. But if we really told you the kind of ride he took us on we’d have to kill you!
For six years now, ReSolute has thrived and maintained its underground presence mainly due to the unfettered love and support of the NY underground community and the dedicated and unique persona that is Nektarios Ioannidis, ReSolute’s founder. This 2013 anniversary party emanated the true underground vibe that ReSolute has remained devoted to throughout the years-- something to be greatly appreciated and admired in a scene where bottle service and boutique DJs reign mainly because it is impossible to stay afloat without them. To give you an idea of the second location, it sells locals Brooklyn pizza during the day and just before ReSolute took over the back room, there was a Jewish wedding held there!
Bravo to Nektarios for staying true to his underground virtues for six strong years, to the ReSolute family for keeping the support no matter the changes in the underground scene and to the artists who provide the music that fuels it all. We look forward to more dancing, more music, and the evolution of ReSolute.
Next up for ReSolute, is the six year anniversary party in Moscow this Friday, December 6th, where Nektarios will bring the sounds of Alexi Delano, Kiki, Camea, Mark Henning and Zorkin to club Pravda.
