Head down to TBA on Saturday and check out Chilean sensation Pier Bucci (Crosstown Rebels/Wagon Repair). Pier got his start in the mid 00’s on the influential Crosstown Rebels imprint. Hailing from Chile, his techno sound infuses classic Latin rhythms and vocals, a love of abstract electronics and Sheffield bleeps, and Andean melodies to create music that is energetic and haunting. Along with a series of successful releases between 2004-2007 on Crosstown Rebels, Pier’s early release on Cadenza helped establish him as a unique talent and develop his sound. He has collaborated with artists like Luciano and launched his own label, Maruca Music, in 2009. Maruca Music is home to Pier’s new original music along with remixes from artists such as Baby Ford and Thomas Melchior.
