Universal as you would expect know how to play their cards right when it comes to harnessing money from the money makers. Island Records, part of the Universal Music Group already has Afrojack...Who? No just kidding, they already have Afrojack and Avicii in their corner and Universal’s Republic Records already signed Martin Garrix, rather quietly as well if you like.
Now recently on a segment of ‘In the Booth’ we find out that Tiësto is set to release his new album through Universal while still running Musical Freedom for developing talent.
They don’t disclose an awful lot when chatting but one thing that he does make absolutely clear is that he wants an album that’s Top 10 all over the world...And here I am thinking he would want an album that sits in the lower regions of the charts...Anyway. We’ll keep you posted when matters solidify somewhat and more info comes in.
