Movement Electronic Music Festival will return to Detroit’s Hart Plaza this May! The three-day festival in the heart of the Motor City will take place Memorial Day weekend from Saturday, May 24th to Monday, May 26th. The favorite festival features five outdoor stages, over 100 artists, dozens of official afterparties, art displays, and an interactive technology center showcasing the best gear and equipment in the industry.
Last year, over 170,000 people from around the world attended the festival. The festival is presented annually by Detroit promoter Paxahau, who are already busy working on preparations for next year. Jason Huvaere, Paxahau’s President, states, “The Paxahau team is already working with excitement on the 2014 Movement Electronic Music Festival to be held on its traditional Memorial Day weekend. This event has been known under a few different names, but has always possessed the same unifying spirit – a celebration of the music and culture we all love, held in the heart of the city that gave the world Techno – Detroit.”
