Start your weekend off right at Treehouse Miami! Our friends at Link & Miami Rebels are bringing Catz ‘n Dogz to South Beach’s favorite underground spot this Thursday and Leftroom Records label boss Matt Tolfrey heats things up on Friday.

Greg and Voitek, aka Catz ‘n Dogz, hosted their first club night as 3 Channels in Szczecin, Poland. Since then, the best friend duo moved on to musical production. As their sound evolved, their techno-centric tracks quickly gained popularity and were picked up by Claude VonStroke, who snatched them up for his dirtybird imprint where they remixed his club anthem ‘Who’s Afraid Of Detroit?’ for a highly limited one-sided vinyl release. By 2008, the duo’s sound had evolved to integrate deep house while still staying true to their techno roots. They released their debut album, Stars of Zoo, under their new moniker, Catz ‘n Dogz. They launched their label, Pets Recordings, which debuted hits from Eats Everything and Rachel Row. The boys have held residencies at Berlin’s Watergate, the dirtybird party at Sankeys Ibiza and have held multiple Pets Recordings showcases across Poland and at Watergate. 2013 has been a big year for Catz ‘n Dogz and they are now preparing the launch of a new vinyl only label. Catch the dynamic duo at the Warehouse Project in the UK and BPM Festival in Mexico after their stint in Miami.  Check out our recent interview with Catz 'n Dogz here!

After a smashing Thursday, get things going on Friday with Matt Tolfrey. Described by Seth Troxler as “the last great British DJ,” Tolfrey is a mainstay of Resident Advisor’s top 100 DJs poll. In 2012, his debut Essential Mix streamed live for Radio One from Sankeys Ibiza, where he had his hugely successful residency. 2012 was also the year Tolfrey celebrated his ten-year residency at Fabric, London and his album, Word Of Mouth, dropped with monumental success. Tolfrey has played at Seattle’s Decibel, Montreal’s Piknik Electronik and Detroit’s Movement festivals. He has released records and remixes on Cocoon with Inxec and on MURK Records and collaborated with Eats Everything, and Jozif, among others. After Miami, catch Tolfrey in the UK and at BPM Festival.

That’s a wrap for this week at Treehouse. Link & Miami Rebels are never ones to disappoint so head over for some fun times, good vibes and great music.
