The crew over at Start:Cue have grown weary of partying on dry land so they have decided to bring us Start:Cruise 011 - all the same quality tunes and your favourite DJ's - afloat!
Headlining the sea bound shenanigans on Saturday November 30 will be Resonance Records head honcho Max Chapman, joined by all your Start:Cue favourites including Al Hearnshaw and Tommy Rutherford. Tickets are still available; you can purchase them below. In the meantime, Start:Cue had a quick Q&A with Mr. Chapman ahead of the cruise - enjoy!
What kind of artists have you signed to your label and why? We have signed all sorts of artists, from house to techno, newbies to nerds and even some very established artists. All it comes down to is them making cool music that we at resonance love and of course we think the people on the dancefloor will love. The best part about it is making new friends and sharing the same dream, bouncing off of each other and trying to get our music where we want it to be, and I am proud to say that the label is at a point where we can do that.
You’ve showcased Resonance Records label club nights at Sankey’s in Ibiza and The Egg in London. Which one club in the world would serve your label party best? To be honest it has never really mattered, we always have good friends and great DJ's on the line ups and always end up having a blast anywhere we are, but I have to say if I could choose it would hands down be at DC10.
Which DJ/producer do you look up to/has influenced your sound the most? Funny you should ask! the one thing that sent me flying in the direction im heading, was watching Art Department play on on the same water that i am going to with you guys, its actually going to be a very special gig for me.
