A new dining concept has been opened at the Wynn Las Vegas, combining “a restaurant and nightlife experience into one environment.” It is called Andrea’s after Steve Wynn’s wife and provides a new experience, which it dubs “vibe dining.” The addition of the restaurant marks the completion of the Wynn’s Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub entertainment complex and the first restaurant to be fully integrated into a nightclub.
The president of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, Marilyn Spiegel, expressed her excitement about the new idea. “We are delighted to add another distinctive concept to our collection of dining experiences. Andrea’s will launch in a new era in nightlife with a combination of culinary excellence, legendary Wynn design and the energy of Surrender Nightclub.”
The restaurant offers “a sensory immersion of exotic Asian-inspired flavors, imaginative cocktails, high-end service and mood enhancing sounds set in a sexy atmosphere.” Guests will listen to a soundtrack curated by Andrea’s “musical chef,” Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello. He has produced exclusive mixes for the restaurant that are enhanced by its state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems. At 11pm, as the evening transitions into nighttime, resident DJs will began spinning as the lounge becomes Surrender Nightclub.
Guests at the restaurant have claimed that the music is a little too loud to hold conversations with the people at your table. Despite this, the restaurant has been quite successful, further showing how EDM is taking over Las Vegas because of the potential for out-of-this-world profits. Although the Wynn itself declines to give exact numbers, it has been reported that its revenue comes primarily from its nightclubs rather than gambling.
