As our regular readers are no doubt aware, we love weird sh*t here at Pulse, however this particular incident does tread a fine line between funny and ethically incorrect. As reported by German news site The Local, Janssen's Tanzpalast nightclub in Cuxhaven on North Sea coast organised a “Lilliputian Action” evening, which basically means they hired a dwarf to run around the dancefloor whilst clubbers chased him around. The prize for catching him? A flatscreen TV (naturally).
Though unfortunately the night's festivities took a turn for the worse when the 42 year-old dwarf fell off a podium whilst performing a dance routine. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A spokeswoman for the club, which has been open since the 1970s, stated that the man was not injured due to the bizarre tag game they had organised. We're not sure how that exactly makes the debacle any less...wrong.
We wonder if the incident perhaps looked a little something like this?
