If you live in New York City and have a penchant for uncovering good times set to a beautiful view matched only by the aesthetic of the crowd that's in attendance, then you're likely familiar with "Yippies" the runaway success story of 2013's summer rooftop season.
Amidst a saturated landscape of new emergences on the Sunday Funday scene, Yippies which takes place at "Soaked" in the penthouse of The Mondrian Hotel in Soho, has been effectively catering to the needs of the upwardly mobile and shenanigan inclined since its inception back in June. The music is supplied by a smattering of the city's local and international residents including Pulse Radio's own host of "Beyond The Booth" Julia Govor (Visionquest/Get Physical) as well as Provacateur residents Nadav Vee, Vanjee and some other favorites of the underground like Cem and RG, Holosound and more.
So if you like your music with an Ibizan flare, along with a high-end runway model feel, then this is the place for you. It might take a little finagling at the door made all the more tricky by the location's limited capacity but if you put more than a cursory effort into your appearance and stay polite, the vistas you'll be graced with from the city's highest rooftop venue with 360 degree views of both upper and lower Manhattan it's well worth the wait. The crowd skews heavily international with a few yankees thrown in for good measure.
